At Finkelstein Law Corporation, family law is our sole focus. Every day, our team is dedicated to guiding clients through complex and charged family matters with precision and compassion.

Family Law – It’s All We do

Whether you need support in mediation, arbitration, collaborative family law, or assistance with cohabitation and separation agreements, we are committed to helping you navigate the legal process efficiently. Our experience allows us to handle challenging cases effectively while prioritizing your well-being and long-term interests.

Family Law

Navigating the nuances of family matters requires a breadth of skills far beyond the legal. FLC provides comprehensive approaches that accommodate nearly all family situations, and adeptly leverages a vast array of tools that supplement our legal strengths.

Support for Self-Represented Litigants

We offer unbundled services for clients that seek support in their self representation. This can include anything from ad hoc answers to document production to selective and partial representation.

Mediation and Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR)

For clients seeking alternate approaches to litigation, FLC supports and advocates in mediation and arbitration, which can resolve issues with greater speed, civility and privacy. Talk to us about how med/arb may help in your situation.

Collaborative Family Law

A cooperative approach to separation that prioritizes building a future collaboratively with the help of a team of professionals. For those able to negotiate collaboratively, this approach can be very effective and helpful in entering future phases with less conflict.

Domestic Contracts, Cohabitation Agreements & Separation Agreements

Drafting sound, robust legal documents to delineate rights and responsibilities in various family situations. These aid all parties in succeeding in a wide variety of circumstances.

Uncontested Divorce & Legal Documentation

Assisting clients in achieving amicable divorce settlements with minimal court intervention.

Wills Drafting & Review

A legally sound will provides clarity and control over how your assets are distributed after your passing. Our team helps you draft, review, or update your will to reflect your intentions, avoid family disputes, and ensure your loved ones are protected.

Power of Attorney & Representation Agreements

Having a Power of Attorney and Representation Agreement in place means trusted individuals can make financial, legal, and medical decisions on your behalf if you're unable to.

Estate Planning

Estate planning is more than just writing a will—it's a comprehensive process that includes asset management, tax minimization, guardianship planning, and ensuring a smooth transition for your family.

Probate & Estate Administration

The process of administering an estate can be legally complex and emotionally overwhelming. We provide trusted legal assistance to executors and administrators, helping them navigate the probate process, meet legal obligations, and carry out the deceased’s wishes with confidence and compliance.

Wills Services

We can review and update existing wills, draft codicils / amendments, and advise on the strength and interpretation of professional and holograph wills.

Estate Disputes & Litigation

Disputes may arise over the distribution of assets, validity of a will, or fairness of an estate plan. Our team can represent clients in estate litigation matters, helping resolve conflicts through negotiation or court proceedings, always aiming for outcomes that honour both the law and family relationships.
